A Refined Route Through India’s Historic Capitals
This private 5-day Golden Triangle tour links Delhi, Agra and Jaipur with the comfort of a private air-conditioned car, a professional English-speaking driver and well-paced sightseeing. It is designed for travellers who want to see India’s best-known heritage sites without rushing between cities.
Begin in Delhi, where Mughal tombs, colonial avenues and modern city life sit side by side. Travel onward to Agra for Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal, whose white-marble detail is best appreciated with unhurried time in its garden setting. The road to Jaipur includes a stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the atmospheric red-sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar.
In Jaipur, explore Amber Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar at a flexible pace. Optional local guides can be arranged for selected monuments, while your driver manages intercity travel and daily transfers. Comfortable hotel stays can be arranged according to your preferred category and availability. Monument access, opening hours, closure days, traffic conditions and hotel availability are subject to change. Please note that the Taj Mahal is closed to general visitors on Fridays.
Highlights of Your Journey.
Your Day-by-Day Journey
Explore your private India tour day by day, with comfortable travel, sightseeing and carefully planned experiences.
Meet your driver on arrival at Delhi airport and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and time to refresh, begin sightseeing according to your flight schedule. Possible visits include Humayun’s Tomb and Qutub Minar, followed by a drive past India Gate, Parliament House and the President’s Estate. If time and opening schedules allow, Lotus Temple or Connaught Place may be added. The plan remains flexible around arrival timing, traffic and monument closures. Overnight in Delhi.
After breakfast, travel by private air-conditioned car from Delhi to Agra. On arrival, visit Agra Fort, the imposing Mughal citadel with courtyards, audience halls and views towards the Yamuna River. Later, visit the Taj Mahal and allow time for photographs and a relaxed walk through its formal gardens. Taj Mahal timing may be planned around your travel date and local conditions. It is closed to general visitors every Friday, so the sightseeing order may be adjusted if needed. Overnight in Agra.
Leave Agra after breakfast and drive towards Jaipur. En route, stop at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s former capital, known for its red-sandstone gateways, courtyards and finely carved pavilions. Continue across Rajasthan’s changing landscape to Jaipur. Check in at your hotel on arrival and keep the evening free for rest or an optional visit to a local market, depending on your preference and arrival time. Overnight in Jaipur.
Today is devoted to Jaipur’s principal royal landmarks. Begin at Amber Fort, set on a hillside outside the old city, and explore its gateways, halls and courtyards. Continue to the City Palace, still partly occupied by Jaipur’s royal family, then view the distinctive facade of Hawa Mahal. Visit Jantar Mantar, the historic astronomical observatory and UNESCO-listed site. Sightseeing can be paced to suit your interests, with an optional local guide available for deeper context. Overnight in Jaipur.
After breakfast and hotel check-out, depart Jaipur by private car for Delhi. The transfer can be planned for Delhi airport, railway station or a city hotel, depending on your onward arrangements. Allow suitable time for the road journey, traffic and airport reporting formalities. Monument access, road conditions, security checks and departure timings may require adjustments to the day’s schedule.
