Tour Overview

This 3 days Golden Triangle tour is designed for travellers who want to cover India’s essential imperial and royal landmarks without sacrificing the comfort of private road travel. From collection in Delhi, a dedicated air-conditioned car and professional driver keep the journey efficient, unhurried and tailored around your arrival time, interests and preferred pace.

The first day pairs the contrasting character of Old and New Delhi with an afternoon drive to Agra. The following morning is reserved for the Taj Mahal at sunrise, when its marble changes gently with the early light, followed by Agra Fort and the exceptionally preserved Mughal capital of Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur.

In Jaipur, the final day brings together hilltop Amber Fort, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Jal Mahal. Optional local guides can be arranged where interpretation matters most, while the route remains flexible enough to accommodate a Delhi airport, hotel or Jaipur conclusion.

As a private Golden Triangle tour, this is a practical, polished India private tour package for couples, families and small parties seeking direct access to the country’s defining architecture, with thoughtful timing and dependable overland logistics.

Tour Itinerary

Your Day-by-Day Journey

Explore your private India tour day by day, with comfortable travel, sightseeing and carefully planned experiences.

Your driver collects you from your Delhi hotel, airport or another agreed point. Depending on your arrival time, explore a considered selection of Old and New Delhi landmarks: Jama Masjid and the Red Fort area, the lanes around Chandni Chowk, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, India Gate and the ceremonial avenues. Sightseeing is flexible rather than rushed, with the route shaped around your interests and available time. Later, travel by private car to Agra, approximately 230 km and typically 3.5–4.5 hours, depending on traffic and your Delhi pickup location. Check in to your Agra hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Leave early for sunrise at the Taj Mahal, when the softer light and cooler temperatures make for a particularly rewarding visit. Please note that the Taj Mahal is closed every Friday; the schedule must be adjusted if this day falls on a Friday. After breakfast, visit the imposing Agra Fort, the Mughal residence and defensive complex overlooking the Yamuna. Continue towards Jaipur, stopping at Fatehpur Sikri, around 40 km from Agra, for its grand gateways, courtyards and palaces. The Agra–Jaipur road journey is approximately 240 km; allow about 5–6 hours of driving overall, including the Fatehpur Sikri visit, comfort stops and traffic. Arrive in Jaipur by evening.

Begin with Amber Fort, reached in roughly 30–40 minutes from central Jaipur depending on traffic. Continue to the City Palace and Jantar Mantar, the historic observatory, then view the ornate façade of Hawa Mahal and the waterside Jal Mahal. A local guide can be arranged to add context at the principal monuments. After sightseeing, conclude with a Jaipur hotel or airport drop-off. If you choose a Delhi finish, the private drive is approximately 270–290 km and usually takes 5–6.5 hours, subject to traffic and breaks; a late-evening arrival should be expected.
