Tour Overview

Travel from Delhi into Rajasthan on a privately chauffeured journey designed with comfortable road days, thoughtful sightseeing and time to enjoy each hotel. Jaipur sets the tone with Amber Fort, the City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar, alongside time for its fine jewellery, block-print textiles and crafts.

Bikaner brings a quieter side of royal Rajasthan. Its richly decorated Junagarh Fort, red sandstone façades and old quarters reveal a city shaped by desert trade and a distinctive princely past. The pace remains unhurried, with a heritage-style stay and time to explore beyond the main sights.

In Jaisalmer, walk within the golden walls of Jaisalmer Fort and visit the carved merchant mansions below it. A private desert outing adds a different rhythm: dunes at sunset, optional camel riding, and the possibility of arranging a private dinner or cultural evening under the desert sky.

Continue to Jodhpur for the blue-painted lanes beneath Mehrangarh Fort, then finish in Udaipur, where Lake Pichola, the City Palace and elegant heritage hotels create a graceful close to the tour. Private guides and a dedicated chauffeur allow for later starts, relaxed lunches and adjustments to suit your interests.

Tour Itinerary

Your Day-by-Day Journey

Explore your private India tour day by day, with comfortable travel, sightseeing and carefully planned experiences.

Meet your private chauffeur in Delhi and drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check in to your hotel and keep the evening free to rest after the journey. Depending on arrival time, a relaxed walk or dinner reservation can be arranged.

Explore Amber Fort with your private guide, allowing time for its courtyards, mirrored halls and hillside setting. Continue to the Water Palace viewpoint and, if preferred, add Jaigarh Fort for wide views across the Aravalli hills.

Visit the City Palace, Hawa Mahal façade and Jantar Mantar observatory. The afternoon is flexible for Jaipur’s artisan districts, including jewellery, textiles, blue pottery or block-print workshops, tailored to your interests.

Drive north-west to Bikaner through changing rural landscapes. This is one of the longer road days, so the schedule is kept easy. Settle into your hotel and, if time permits, take a short orientation drive through the old city.

Discover Junagarh Fort, notable for its elaborate interiors and unusually well-preserved royal rooms. Continue to the Lalgarh Palace area and, subject to opening times, visit the National Research Centre on Camel or explore Bikaner’s atmospheric bazaars.

Continue west across the desert plains to Jaisalmer. Arrive by late afternoon or evening and check in to your hotel. The evening is at leisure, with dinner recommendations available according to your preferred setting.

Explore Jaisalmer Fort with a private guide, including its lanes, Jain temples and viewpoints. Visit Patwon Ki Haveli for its intricate sandstone carving, then continue to Gadisar Lake and the historic quarters around the fort.

Enjoy a private excursion into the Thar Desert. Spend time among the dunes in the softer afternoon light and stay for sunset. Camel riding can be arranged as an optional activity; a private desert dinner or cultural performance may also be requested in advance.

Drive to Jodhpur, with comfort stops planned along the way. Check in on arrival and enjoy a quiet evening. Your hotel can arrange a rooftop dinner or you may choose to explore the nearby market lanes independently.

Visit the formidable Mehrangarh Fort, whose galleries and terraces look across the blue-painted old city. Continue to Jaswant Thada and wander selected lanes of the historic quarter with your guide, with time for local crafts or a café stop.

Travel south to Udaipur, passing through Rajasthan’s changing countryside. Arrive at your lake or heritage-style hotel and take the evening at leisure. A sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola can be arranged separately, subject to conditions and availability.

Visit Udaipur City Palace with its courtyards, galleries and views over Lake Pichola. Depending on your onward timing, add Jagdish Temple, the old city or Saheliyon-ki-Bari before a private transfer to Udaipur airport or your next arranged destination.
